Influence Graphics has moved and expanded it’s short run digital and large format printing operations three subway stops away to a new 12,000 facility in Long Island City. In addition, we have moved our NYC Manhattan sales office next door to 45 West 45th Street on the 8th Floor. We now have the best of both worlds….a large, well equipped production facility conveniently located only 10 minutes away from our NYC customers and a sales office in the heart of midtown Manhattan where customers can meet with our experienced customer service representatives to review a job and and pick up their completed projects.
Our new facility boasts 2 HP Indigo presses, a Karat 28″ waterless (digital front end) press, a 2 color offset press, a Oce Light Jet Digital C printer, 3 HP Inkjet printers, Mamaki and Roland Solvent printers along with a complete array of finishing equipment.

Visited the Print 09 trade show in Chicago this week. How the industry has changed! 8 years ago went I first started going to this trade show it was all about offset printing. There were hundreds of booths with vendors that supported the offset equipment (gears, blankets, platemakers, etc.). The big booths were full of heavy iron equipment churning out printed paper by the ton. The digital equipment vendors all had smaller booths and were on the sidelines. This year the show was all about digital. The offset booths had one piece of equipment at the most. The big names in offset equipment had very little traffic in their booths. By contrast HP with their Indigo line of digital equipment and Xerox with their iGen digital equipment had very busy booths with demonstrations of their latest technologies. MGI was demonstrating their new digital press which drew a lot of interest. In addition there was in big increase in the number of software vendors supporting the digital presses. A very different show then in years past! Kodak even decided not to bring a single piece of equipment to the show choosing instead to put on a high tech media show.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office came to Influence Graphics for help in printing batches of digital photos that are taken at various city functions. Seems everybody wants a picture taken of themselves shaking hands with the popular mayor. Every major event such as a parade results in hundreds of pictures taken of the mayor with his constituents and each one of them wants a keepsake photo. Influence Graphics uses in HP Indigo digital press to print the high quality photos which are then distributed to the constituents.
